ABOUT OUR SERVICE

WHAT IS CONNECTED?™

Connected™ is Original Hardware’s exclusive in-store service where a bracelet is welded onto your wrist by one of our jewelers, eliminating the need for a clasp.  Add charms to commemorate special occasions and moments in your life. 

DOES IT HURT TO PERMANENTLY WELD JEWELRY ONTO MY WRIST?

Absolutely not!  You’ll feel nothing but joy.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

It depends on the chain you select and whether you wish to embellish your personal bracelet with additional charms. We have created pricing around three common wrist sizes: 6”, 7” and 8”. A typical 7-inch bracelet without additional charms runs from $75-$399 based on our current offerings. Additional charms are priced between $89-$199. Please note: the minimum purchase for any welded bracelet is 6”. 

WHAT METALS CAN I CHOOSE FROM?

Currently we offer different chain options in 14k yellow gold—our styles are always evolving based on feedback from our customers. Additional charms are all in 14k gold and feature semi-precious gemstones and conflict-free diamonds.

DO YOU OFFER STERLING SILVER OPTIONS?

Not for this service. While we love sterling silver and use it throughout our line, a permanent sterling silver bracelet doesn’t wear the same as 14k gold in everyday life, particularly in pools and hot tubs where the copper alloy in the sterling can react and turn green. We do, however, have plenty of other sterling silver bracelet options with clasps available in our flagship store to choose from!

DO YOU OFFER PERMANENT NECKLACES OR ANKLETS?

No. Permanent anklets do not last as long as bracelets and can be uncomfortable with certain types of shoes For safety reasons, we do not offer permanent necklaces. Our chains are intentionally delicate so that if they break or get caught on something, they will give and keep you safe. 

HOW PERMANENT IS MY WELDED BRACELET?

The chains selected for our bracelets are delicate enough that if you need to remove it, you can carefully cut it with a pair of scissors at the end of the ring that connects the chain together. If you wish to get your bracelet re-welded at a later date, we can certainly do that for a small welding fee of $25. Please book an appointment for a re-weld.

CAN I BRING IN MY OWN CHAIN OR BRACELET TO BE WELDED?

No. We only offer this service with the chain we provide. 

WHERE DO I GET  CONNECTED™?

Our welding sessions take place at Original Hardware’s Boutique and Studio, located at 2550 W. Main Street, Littleton, CO 80120. You can book your appointment here. We recommend joining our mailing list and following us on Instagram to learn about new dates and other OH news.

 

BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT

DO I HAVE TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

Yes, book an appointment here. Please book separate appointments for each person in your party. 

HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

Book your appointment here. (Online booking only.  No phone calls please). There is a $50 deposit for the appointment at the time of booking, which we only use to hold the appointment. If you show up late for your appointment, we reserve the right to reschedule your appointment for another time if we aren’t able to accommodate your session within the allotted time. 

HOW LONG DOES AN APPOINTMENT TAKE?

Our sessions are scheduled in 20-minute increments, giving you plenty of time to consider your choices, measure your wrist and finish the weld. Please: one session per person.

IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT? 

Yes. Anyone 18 and older are welcome to get Connected. Customers between the ages of 12 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult. We do not weld bracelets on children under the age of 12. 

WHAT DO I NEED FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

Please fill out and submit required waiver ahead of your appointment, which you’ll receive upon booking via the email address provided. We will not fulfill your appointment until your liability waiver is signed.

WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE MY APPOINTMENT?

Please allow 48-hour advance notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment otherwise your deposit will be forfeited. If you show up late for your appointment, we reserve the right to reschedule your appointment for another time if we aren’t able to accommodate your session within the allotted time. 

DO YOU ACCOMMODATE WALK-INS?

Sometimes we have last-minute openings that will enable us to accommodate walk-ins. Please do not call the store to find out–we’ll post on social media when we have walk-in appointments available or you can just stop by!

WHAT IF THE CHAIN I WANTED IS SOLD OUT?

We do our best to ensure we have enough product to accommodate our scheduled appointments, but sometimes we run out of our most popular styles. If you can’t find an alternative, we’re happy to reschedule your appointment for another day. 

CAN I USE A DISCOUNT CODE I'VE RECEIVED VIA EMAIL?

We cannot apply discount codes to welding services. Please use our discount codes for other online or in-store purchases.
